The Challenge

Build, launch, and grow your own AI influencer to win a grand prize of $8,000.

You can choose one of five distinct personality tracks to create your influencer:

  • AI Entertainer: personalities that entertain through music, dance, and performance content
  • AI Lifestyle Influencer: creators of everyday life content like fashion, aesthetics, routines, and vlog-style storytelling
  • AI Comedian: humorous avatars that entertain through character-driven skits, satire, and memes
  • AI Fitness: influencers that inspire through workouts, wellbeing, sports, and e-sports-inspired training content
  • AI Anime, Cartoon, or Fantasy: stylized characters with original lore, personality, and universes

A panel of judges will assess each virtual personality on quality, inspiration, brand appeal, and social clout and assign it an overall score.

The top scorers will qualify for weekly prizes, and 1 contestant will win the grand prize at the end of 4 weeks. You will also be eligible for audience choice awards if your AI influencer drives high fan engagement.

The Rise of the AI Personality

This contest comes at a time when creators are starting to experiment with AI personalities to solve the problems of the traditional creator economy.

Virtual influencers can create content consistently, at scale, while still keeping a personal touch in every fan interaction. And they are still fresh enough to stand out in a crowded creator economy.

This is why they are drawing fan followings of thousands. Yet, there are concerns that people can’t build real relationships with artificial avatars.

Think about the fictional characters in movies that made you feel something. They weren’t real either. But people cried when they were hurt, laughed at their joys, and rooted for them to win.

What people felt for them wasn’t based on whether the characters were real. They were invested because of the storytelling. It was good enough to make them connect to a character that doesn’t exist.

The same logic applies here. AI influencers feel real because they have their own unique look, storyline, and a recognisable voice.

This helps them build real fan connections—the foundation for repeat engagement—and turn them into sustainable, long-term income.

And creators are using platforms like Fanvue to define how this category evolves.

What Makes an AI Personality Work

What attracts people to an AI personality is really the same thing that makes a human creator compelling: a distinct voice and personality. But with AI, you build the character from the ground up—meaning you can optimize every detail for audience engagement.

And this can solve one of the biggest challenges creators face: turning casual viewers into engaged fans who stick around and spend.

Take Aitana Lopez, for example. Aitana is a Spanish AI fitness influencer who’s earning thousands of dollars through ads, brand partnerships, and more.

Or Solomon Ray, an AI-generated singer who’s followed by more than 400,000 listeners on Spotify.

Or Shudu Gram, an AI supermodel who keeps her fans engaged through high-end fashion photoshoots.

These AI personalities, the ones that actually build audiences, are where a human has made intentional decisions about who this character is:

  • What do they care about?
  • What's their sense of humour?
  • What do they look like on a random Tuesday?
  • Do they have a past?

And visual identity is only the start. Their voice and personality—the way they write their posts, the kind of content they make, or the tone they take in comments—is what turns a follower into a fan, and a fan into a repeat viewer or buyer.

The tools now available to AI content creators have made both the technical and creative sides of this process more accessible. What once required specialist skills in content strategy, 3D modelling, or motion graphics can now be done by a single creator who’s found the right workflow.

How This Challenge Can Accelerate AI Creators

The most common reason creators struggle with AI projects is a lack of structure. Concept development tends to stay in concept mode without external pressure to make it real.

The AI Personality of the Year Awards challenge provides exactly what creators need to push their ideas into execution: a reason to build and launch. It gives you a four-week window, sets a minimum content requirement, and rewards you for high fan engagement.

For contestants, it’s a chance to build an income stream that can bring revenue long after the challenge ends. This will be made easier because you will focus on one track—which will let you attract the right sponsors and audience.

And winning a challenge run by two leading platforms can boost your visibility in front of global brands and collaborators.

With the AI personal assistant tools available today, building an AI personality is faster and easier than ever. So you can participate in this challenge even if you are managing other commitments.

The Goal: Genuine Connection Through a Virtual Character

There's a version of the AI influencer conversation that treats it as purely a production efficiency play: generate content faster, scale across more platforms, never burn out.

But this framing misses what actually drives growth: connection with fans.

The AI personalities that will last are the ones that build relationships with their audience, that make their fans feel curiosity, affection, and loyalty.

The rise of AI voice calls for creators is a clear indicator of how this new category is growing. AI personalities are no longer only visual content machines. They're beginning to interact through voice—holding conversations, responding to fans directly, and keeping engagement active across multiple touchpoints.

The AI Personality of the Year Awards builds on this momentum and brings you a chance to define what comes next in content creation
